Truly proud to see Americans coming together and fighting the fight to help Haiti out in the Islands most darkest days and deepest need of help. 61 million and counting is amazing and though it is still small steps to a HUGE problem its great to see the aspiration of people to deliver some help and aid. With all that said i think its time to become more proactive in the aid and help before the disaster strikes. Not just for Haiti, not just for third world countries, but for our homeland as well. It seems as if after these natural happen we begin to hear the stories of how scientist predicted it would happen or government was aware of the problems that could arise in the case of natural disaster. Yet nothing is done until after disaster strikes. Its also not only just natural disaster, its dealing with the homeless crisis, healthcare, and in some countries as simple as a healthy water supply. Not to take away from Haiti and the efforts put forth to help in the aftermath of the earthquakes but maybe its time we the people pay attention to the problems and provide the help before it comes to what’s going on in Haiti and what happened in New Orleans!
