As of right now the Porsche 918 Spyder is just a concept car awaiting production. With interest in the vehicle well past the point at which the automaker planned production and with a price tag of $630,000 it will be the most expensive Porsche ever. The question is can the car do what Porsche says it can do. The 918 spyder boast a 500 horsepower V8 engine combined with two electic motors for a boost of 218 horsepower and has four driving modes. Porsche claims that in its “ECO” mode which is the most economical the car can reach 79 miles per gallon. While that has yet to be tested by independant agencies Porsche also suggest the car can reach 60mph in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 198mph. One thing is for sure the design of the car is nasty and will scream porsche all the way down the highway. At $630,000 in cost seeing one fly by you will be very rare!
